Chemotherapy treatment uses drugs to kill cancer cells. Chemotherapy can be used alone or given in addition to surgery or radiation therapy. Based on the chemotherapy regimen, treatments may be given daily, weekly or every three or four weeks.

Chemotherapy can be administered through a vein, by injection or taken orally, based on the type of chemotherapy drug. Blood cell counts are measured prior to each chemotherapy treatment to guide your treatment to make sure that it is most effective in treating your cancer.

Some chemotherapy can be comfortably and convienently administered in your home. MediLink's chemotherapy certified nurses will administer the therapy and monitor your progress. Our pharmacists work closely with your physician to make this therapy as easily tolerated and effective as possible.
